Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Forest Villas Hotel's Triumph

The Prescott Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon- cutting ceremony at Forest Villas Hotel, celebrating not just our beautiful renovations but also our collective achievements and the promising future of our beloved hotel.

Forest Villas Hotel, now celebrating 30 remarkable years, is a testament to dedication, vision, and perseverance. Our journey began with a family’s dream of creating a Mediterranean-style retreat in Prescott. When the hotel was first built, there was nothing but a hilltop and a bold vision. Today, three decades later, we have survived and thrived, becoming a cherished destination for guests far and wide. It’s truly inspiring to reflect on how far we’ve come and what we’ve accomplished together.

The ceremony on Thursday, August 22, was a joyous occasion. Ambassador Candace Lea brought warmth and enthusiasm as our Master of Ceremonies, and the support from the Chamber Ambassadors, along with the colorful Regulators and Their Shady Ladies, added a special touch to the event, underscoring the close-knit, supportive community that makes Prescott unique.

A particularly memorable moment was when Ambassador Peter Medal presented the Ceremonial First Dollar Certificate to our dedicated managers, Sue Mourlot and Jane Lenci. Additionally, Amber Frazer from the City of Prescott presented a Certificate of Recognition, highlighting Forest Villas Hotel’s significant role in our community.

The most poignant part of the ceremony was when our General Manager, Jane Lenci, addressed the attendees. After eight years at Forest Villas, Jane spoke deeply about our journey. “This hotel is 30 years old this year,” she remarked, reminding us of the rich history and legacy we are continuing. She highlighted the many updates and upgrades we’ve implemented over the past several years, from new carpets and a refurbished pool area to the addition of our beautiful La Sala lounge, reflecting our commitment to offering an exceptional guest experience.

Jane’s reflection on the hotel’s evolution captured what makes Forest Villas unique. “It’s a big deal for us because we’re an independent, family-owned hotel that has to spend every dollar we make and make every dollar we can spend,” she said. Jane’s words, “This gem certainly deserves to be polished,” perfectly encapsulate our ongoing commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

After Jane’s inspiring speech, attendees enjoyed refreshments and explored the newly decorated and remodeled hotel spaces. Walking through the hotel, we felt profound pride in all we’ve accomplished. Our goal has always been to create an elegant, comfortable, and welcoming space—a true reflection of the Forest Villas spirit.

This ribbon-cutting event was more than just a celebration of renovations—it was a powerful reminder of our community’s strength and resilience. Forest Villas Hotel, with its refreshed look and renewed spirit, stands ready to continue welcoming guests with the highest standards of hospitality.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. Here’s to many more years of success and the continued growth of Forest Villas Hotel!
